NABBA Rules and Definitions
Pro Division Reintroduced:
- Effective June 2024, NABBA has introduced three new Pro Card categories: Miss Bikini Pro, Mr Sport Physique Pro, and Mr Classic Bodybuilding.
Updated Categories and Criteria:
- Teenagers: Must be 18 or under on 1st January in the contest year.
- Junior Bodybuilding: Must be 22 or under on 1st January in the contest year.
- Junior Men's Physique: Must be 22 or under on 1st January in the contest year.
- Mr Classes: Now divided into three height classes:
Mr Class 3 Up to and including (1.72 m)
Mr Class 2 Over (1.72M) up to and including (1.79M)
Mr Class 1 Over (1.79) - Men’s Physique: Renamed to Men’s Physique Open and Men’s Physique Over 45 (criteria unchanged).
- Classic Men's Physique: No weight cap now as competitors will be judges on classic look.
Competition Entry and Categories:
- Competitors may enter up to two categories but must declare them before the contest day.
- A maximum of two competitors per category is required to qualify for expense prizes, with final amounts decided by each organiser.
General Rules:
- All competitors must hold a valid NABBA membership.
- Judging consists of lineup poses, individual routines (60 seconds max), and comparisons.
- Unsportsmanlike behavior can lead to disqualification.
Additional Notes:
- Winners of NABBA Area Shows qualify for the Britain Finals.
- Expenses are awarded for class winners and overall champions.
- Top six competitors at the Britain Finals qualify for the NABBA Universe.
